Paddle for the Planet is a movement that unites paddlers and watermen for conservation. Our signature event is the annual Global Paddling Relay.
The relay runs with simultaneous paddling events starting sequentially, on the same day, at the same time, in every time zone, in each country around the world thereby creating a global relay. Paddlers of any type of paddling craft (think: anything that floats) are united through the Global Relay.
Paddle for the Planet aims to raise awareness and financial support for marine conservation specifically in “Marine Protected Areas” and “no take zones”.
Paddle for the Planet want creates an opportunity to make a difference. Often, when faced with the magnitude of environmental issues, a person is left feeling overwhelmed and as if there is nothing that can be done. We want to allow all paddlers the opportunity to help.
Paddle for the Planet raises money through donations in the following ways:
- Through the website or direct to our bank account.
- On the day of the annual Paddle for the Planet event
- Corporately through partnerships
- Sales of T-shirts & other merchandise
- Product Partnerships
Paddle for the Planet is supported by International Canoe Federation (ICF) and International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF)

2. Donations from participants and spectators at our annual Paddle for the Planet awareness day.
We suggest that a fee of US$ 10 is charged to each participant / spectator during your event. This fee is to be recited to our bank account. We will issue a receipt for the funds.
A minium participation fee of USD150 per event is required (min: 15 participants). This should be submitted to our bank account prior to announcing your event.
3. Corporate Sponsorship:
We are open to Global or local Country cash sponsorship proposals from leading corporations; with a strong ethos in the conservation of our planet.
Please note that country sponsorships packages begin at US$10,000 dollars and Global partnerships at US$50,000.

4. Paddle for the Planet T-shirts
Please ensure that you send us your final artwork for approval PRIOR TO PRINTING ANY T-SHIRTS.
There will be a mandatory US$10 fee per each T-shirt printed that is required in advance to printing any T-shirts. You are welcome to retrieve the costs of each T-shirt on top of this fee but NO PROFIT should be made.
Remember: Paddle for the Planet is a (NPO) NON PROFIT ORGANISATION. 100% of funds raised go to supporting organisations that are making a difference.
5. Product partnerships
If you have a product related to the Ocean or associated lifestyle product, Paddle for the Planet maybe interested in licensing our brand with you on an annual basis. Kindly send us product details and territories you are interested in licensing the Paddle for the Planet brand. Kindly note that a minimum advance cash guarantee is required per territory/ per year.
